Operations Manager

Lawn Doctor of Southwest Austin is looking for someone who can eventually take over as the day-to-day operations manager. This position will require a lot of flexibility, especially initially, because of the growth that we will be driving during your first year. For the rest of 2022, the role will be primarily as a service technician and sales representative. Along the way, you will also be learning how to run the day-to-day office operations as time permits. The goal is to finish out 2022 while preparing for a growth push in early 2023. At some point in Q1 of 2023, we would look to bring on a dedicated service technician and transition your role into operations manager. As growth permits, we will hire additional technicians and acquire more application equipment and vehicles.

Our business has become profitable in 2022 which allows us to move forward with expansion. Your role will be central to this effort. Your compensation will have significant ties to our success. This may include stakes in company ownership. We need someone who is responsible and driven to build a business from its existing foundation.

The following qualities/capabilities are desired or required:

Excellent communications skills

Self-motivated with ability to be independently productive

Experience working with and maintaining various types of equipment

Experience with mixing and applying chemicals

Experience supervising other employees

Landscape and/or pest control licensed

Computer software experience (customer/scheduling software, spreadsheets, etc.)

hiring for the position below in Q1 2023 as described above.

This position is being listed as part-time but expect a minimum of 32 hours per week and there may be weeks of 60 hours if you are willing and able. Prior industry experience is desired.

Lawn Doctor of Southwest Austin is looking for individuals dedicated to providing high-quality, customer-focused lawn care services to join our team as Lawn Care Technicians. Our Lawn Care Technicians are customer-facing brand ambassadors. They treat lawns with top quality, environmentally sensitive products, aerate and seed lawns, perform shop work, and offer appropriate new services to customers and prospects while in the field.

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work and good attendance record. Actual work experience in the lawn care industry is highly desirable but not a requirement. Applicant must have:

Enthusiasm for working outdoors and in various weather conditions

Ability to operate machinery

Ability to meet production goals

Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds

Compensation: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
